This site is intended to provide timely notification to local residents of the Agenda and Minutes of the Tam Design Review Board together with other information regarding the design review process. The jurisdiction of the TDRB includes the unincorporated area south and west of the City of Mill Valley from Mountain Home Inn to The Heliport near Manzanita and the Homestead Valley community. TDRB authority and responsibilities for Design Review are found in the Marin County Development Code Chapter 22.42 adopted June 24, 2003.
The Tamalpais Area Community Plan includes some zoning criteria that
TDRB meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at the Log Cabin at 300 Tennessee Valley Road (near Hwy 1) unless otherwise noted on the agenda.
All meetings are open to the public
Anyone wishing to address the TDRB on any subject not on the agenda is welcome
to do so prior to commencement of the published agenda. All county appointed Boards and Commissions comply with the Brown Act by providing properly noticed agenda and open meetings. Additional information regarding Design Review and Zoning may be found in Title 22 of the Marin County Code.
The BoardTDRB Members are appointed by the Marin County Board of Supervisors from among qualified local residents. The Board is ADVISORY to the Planning Department and not a decision making body. All formal Design Review actions will be held at Marin Civic Center by the planning staff or the appointed Marin County Planning Commission following public notice. All communications regarding any item on the agenda should be directed to the
responsible planner to be included in the public record. Although our
recommendations are summarized and transmitted to the planning department
following the public meeting, no transcripts are taken of public comment.
